On February 9, 2023, GCLS, in collaboration with the GNLU Legal Services Committee, the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Red Cross Ahmedabad District branch, conducted a Blood Donation Camp on the GNLU premises.
On February 9, 2023, GCLS, in collaboration with the GNLU Legal Services Committee, the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Red Cross Ahmedabad District branch, conducted a Blood Donation Camp on the GNLU premises. The donation drive started with high spirits and was met with much enthusiasm by the university students, as scores of students made their way to the camp to donate their blood. By 5 pm, the donation drive had recorded 188 registrations from eager volunteers, and more than 40 liters of blood had been collected. A total of 179 GNLU students, 7 GNLU teaching faculty, and 2 GNLU staff members contributed to the cause. Thalassemia testing was also provided for free to all blood donors.
The event not only successfully collected blood donations but also played a significant role in dispelling myths surrounding blood donation and raising awareness about Thalassemia
