By creating these handbooks, the centre aims to simplify laws and make it more accessible to stakeholders.

For the making of these handbooks, the centre collaborated with Saral Kanoon, a research and policy initiative under ‘We Innovate’ foundation run by Adv. Aaditya Bhatt of the Gujarat High Court. The project aims at simplifying laws and making it more accessible to stakeholders through actionable guides which have simple language and graphical representations. The handbooks have gone through a peer-review process under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Apoorva Patel, Head, GCLS, and Adv. Aditya Bhatt and Adv. Chandani Joshi from Saral Kannon.

The handbooks offer a concise overview of the legal provisions for women and children in India, covering crucial topics such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, child labor, and education. With clear explanations of relevant laws and procedures, these resources empower individuals with the knowledge to secure their rights. Translated into regional languages, the handbooks will be distributed in schools, civil society organizations, and Child Welfare Commissions, ensuring wider access and promoting justice for all.

The Centre's handbooks on women's rights and children's rights have gained international recognition, showcasing the Centre's dedication to fostering legal education and empowering individuals. By raising awareness and providing valuable resources, the Centre actively contributes to advancing gender equality and safeguarding the rights of children.
