Legal Challenges Faced By The Startups

In collaboration with We Innovate, a policy foundation headed by Advocate Aaditya Bhatt of the Gujarat High Court. This research project focuses on the legal issues and compliances encountered by startups, including tax & GST compliances, contracts to be entered into, and business structure' specific compliances. It also aims to deal with issues related to the valuation of startups, as well as financing requirements. Startups also have to pay attention to their IPRs since the early stages of a start-up are vital for the entrepreneur to secure the venture’s core intellectual property. Many-a-times, entrepreneurs are not aware of all the legal formalities and this project aims to provide an easy guide on all these challenges.
Contribution to the SDG/UNAI Principles: The project aims to provide information about the legal challenges faced by startups in order to make it more accessible and attainable for people from all sections of society to start their businesses. The information will be available in the public domain to reduce the inequality in terms of access to such information.
